About the Authors
North Country Authors is comprised of authors from around northern New York and the Adirondacks. The group was started in by North Country author Lawrence P. Gooley and his publishing company, Bloated Toe Publishing.
Mr. Gooley, along with his wife/partner Jill Jones, wished to increase public awareness of the fantastic works by authors right here in the North Country. Some of the authors are better known than others, but they all have some things in common—a love for writing and a love for the North Country, its history, and its people.

The objective of this website is to provide a central location where visitors can view the latest information about their favorite regional authors. We include author biographies; lists of authors' books; author availability information; events and appearances (In-Person, Radio, TV, Web) that include North Country Authors; and recent news regarding the authors and their activities.
