About

Glenn Erick Miller was born and raised in Clinton, New York, a small village near Utica. Each summer, his family took long camping trips in the Adirondacks, mostly at Moffitt's Beach campground in Speculator.

While earning his BA degree from SUNY Oswego as a double major in fine arts and English, Glenn volunteered as a tutor at a local school. This experience inspired a long career in education. Glenn was employed for several years as a special education aide, a coordinator of youth programs, and a GED instructor. He then earned an MA in English from Binghamton University, and has since worked as a college English professor at Jefferson Community College in Watertown, New York, and Florida SouthWestern State College in Forth Myers, Florida.

Glenn is the author of a young adult novel and two picture books. His short writing has appeared in literary journals such as Citron Review, Agave Magazine, and Red Earth Review. Glenn, his wife, and their two children divide their time between the Adirondacks and Florida.

Glenn's extensive background in education and public speaking ensures positive and enjoyable interactions with parents, teachers, and children alike. Besides literature and creative writing, Glenn's interests include nature, art, and sustainability.
