    Author Lorraine Duvall will talk about her search for the women who were part of a bold experiment 45 years ago when they started a women's collective, called "A Woman's Place."
    Duvall will reconstruct the lives of the women using historical records and personal interviews. Unearthing the women after forty years and making sense of waning memories was a challenge, but rewarding.

    Lorraine Duvall will present an historical narrative on how the waters of the Adirondacks were saved from industrial pollution, impoundments that would have resulted in the flooding of towns and thousands of acres, and housing developments built on the shorelines of the lakes and rivers.
